New community improvements brighten up "The X"

The transformation of The Greenes continues through the completion of improvements as part of the Early Action Activities, designed to activate the community spaces and provide residents with more functional, beautiful areas to gather and enjoy. Over the past months, the “X”, open space area within the Greene’s five-story buildings, has undergone the installation of brand-new outdoor furniture such as picnic tables, play equipment, comfortable seating, planters and grills. The center of the plaza now boasts a new look too, including a vibrant asphalt painting echoing the recently completed murals.

This community effort was celebrated during an event this past October where residents of all ages, PCC staff, and partners came together to collaborate, particularly in the planting of new greenery within the installed planters. The successful implementation of these enhancements is already evident, as residents are utilizing and enjoying the improved amenities for their daily routines and activities.

These improvements will serve as a beautiful backdrop for daily life and a welcoming hub for the entire Greene Homes community. The next Early Action Project to be completed this Fall is The Hollow Plaza. Stay tuned for updates.
