Climate Action: Increasing Resilience

The City of Bridgeport is proactively working to become more resilient to a changing climate, focusing on issues such as flooding, extreme weather events, and heatwaves.

The Planning Department is collaborating with MetroCOG, a regional planning agency, to develop a regional hazard mitigation plan to address these hazards. Additionally, the Department is creating a city-specific plan to tackle these challenges at a local level.
