FAQs
What are Complete Streets?
Complete Streets reimagines the streets and sidewalks for the safe transportation of all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, bus riders, and motorists. There is no singular design solution for Complete Streets, and therefore a "complete" street may look different within and across communities based on the unique characteristics of each community.

What are the options for bicycle infrastructure?
Class I - Protected Bike Lane - Bicycle lanes that are separated from the traffic lane through physical barriers, such as raised curbs, plastic posts, or parked cars. These can be on-street or off-street.
Class II - Buffered/Striped Bike Lane - Bicycle lanes that are separated from other transportation modes through painted lines, at times with a painted buffer.
Class III - Shared Lane - Lanes that are shared by both bicyclists and motorists.
