Complete and Safe Streets

The City of Bridgeport is working to advance Complete Streets , an approach that designs the public right-of-way for all transportation users, and Vision Zero , a strategy to eliminate all traffic-related serious and fatal injuries, through its Complete & Safe Streets initiative.

This effort is in line with multiple goals set in Plan Bridgeport, the City's Plan of Conservation and Development. By doing this, Bridgeport aims to establish a complete, connected, and safe transportation network; create transportation equity; provide alternative modes of transit; and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
